Nexus Networking Group - Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
Our group exists to connect, support, and empower freelancers. We share opportunities, knowledge, and encouragement to help each other grow personally and professionally.
2. Core Values
Respect: - Treat everyone with courtesy and kindness. We do not accept disparaging or defamatory comments about fellow members.
Integrity - Be honest in all interactions and represent yourself truthfully.
Collaboration - Support others’ growth; success is not a zero-sum game.
Professionalism - Maintain the same standard of conduct you would in a workplace.
3. Expected Behaviour
Members are expected to:
Communicate respectfully—avoid insults, harassment, or discrimination.
Share opportunities fairly and transparently (no spam, scams, or misleading posts).
Keep discussions constructive, relevant, and supportive.
Protect others’ privacy; do not share members’ information without consent.
Credit others’ work and respect intellectual property.
4. Unacceptable Behaviour
The following will not be tolerated:
Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment of any kind.
Spamming, self-promotion without context, or repeated solicitation.
Sharing misleading, plagiarised, or confidential information.
Bullying, personal attacks, or inflammatory debates.
Any form of illegal activity or unethical business practice.
5. Opportunities and Jobs
When sharing job leads or collaborations:
Only post verified, legitimate opportunities.
Be transparent about payment terms and expectations.
Avoid undercutting or exploiting other freelancers.
6. Conflict Resolution
If an issue arises, approach a moderator privately.
Moderators will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, post removals, or removal from the group.
Decisions by moderators are final to maintain group harmony.
7. Confidentiality
What’s shared in the group stays in the group—respect members’ privacy and trust. We refer to the earlier point of integrity at all times.
8. Enforcement
Members who violate this Code may receive:
1. A warning.
2. Temporary suspension.
3. Permanent removal from the network.
The severity depends on the nature of the violation.
9. Continuous Improvement
This Code of Conduct will evolve with the community’s needs. Members are encouraged to provide feedback respectfully.
